“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” – Audrey Hepburn
It's with much appreciation and joy that we taught a hands-on permaculture class at Gillits Primary School and the garden was planted by the children - for the children!
This school has a feeling program that with this food garden will make that much easier for the school to feed their learners fresh, organic and home grown - love grown food!
Below are pictures from planting day: First mulch, to cover and protect the soil, which is key to soil regeneration, then they plant seedlings and scatter a variety of seeds that will become crop cover.
